How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

HI EVERYONE!!!
I wanted to send a quick journal note to the 912 artists that watch me, and the 429 artists that I watch, and let them know a few things as they relate to comments on both my drawings, as well as theirs.

1) Due to my very limited time, and because I watch over 400 people, you can imagine how many new deviations I get each day. I sometimes get overwhelmed with comments on my own drawings (like Clint Eastwood). I logged on today and found over 1,200 new comments! Yes, over 800 were favs, and watches, but it will take me some time to give thoughtful replies, and I always reply to them all because I appreciate them very much!!!

2) I feel guilty that I cannot spend more time to give comments on all of the great works that I get each day from you. Just not enough time in a day, not to mention, Twitter, Email, Texts, Facebook and Calls each day lol. Oh, and not to mention I have to make a living, ha! :D:D

3) Again, due to my limited time, I cannot comment on photos. Sorry, but I do look at them, and they are all just great! One of my daughters is a professional photographer, and since all of my drawings originate from great photography, I appreciate them!! Check out her site? www.MaggieFortson.com

4) I don't even know if everyone will get this, because I do not select journals when I Watch someone. Just too much!

Thanks Rick, i have downloaded your tips guide - and very helpful it is too. It's a pleasure viewing your work. Would like to see you draw Natalie Portman someday, looking at her for 8 hours has to be more fun than looking at Clint. ;)

ya, I do plan on drawing more woman. For now, I like keeping sex out of it, for exactly the above reason. When I see someone draw a woman with a bust shot, what do you think their mind was on the whole time? lol. Not blending and rendering haha

I do know exactly what you mean Rick lol. When i was younger, i used to draw a lot (over 10 years ago now). I'd buy porn mags to practice drawing nudes, but as you said, drawing beautiful women is obviously distracting - anyway, without more crude details, you can imagine where i was going with that! ;)

Well i look forward to seeing you draw more woman Rick.
